Final Entry

After nearly five days at sea, Club Cygne rolled into Bermuda, still rocking hard. The last few nights were full of hardcore sailing events, including glow-stick light shows, a Monster-Swan rally, and even a domestic violence clinic. The official finish time for the almighty swan was 09:07:04 ET, and at approximately 9:08 the Heinekens made their appearance. The finish of the race also spurred the emergence of countless items that had been "squirreled" away by various crew members throughout the voyage, mainly Starbucks Double Shots, Mike & Ikes, and Diet Cokes.

Crew morale was increased by the fact that "Hole," the windless beast that prowled the Atlantic looking to decrease boat speed, had not been sighted in several days. This was lucky because had the fiend discovered our location and slowed our progress, the fact that we were just about out of water may have become a bit more apparent. Talks had already begun to take place as to whether or not the boarding of another boat would be necessary, simply to steal their water. Although our fresh water was not used up completely, the easily visible "floaties" that accompanied it made it slightly less appealing. Nonetheless, we reached the land of Dark n ' Stormies unscathed, and everyone agreed it was a great race.
